Friends and relatives… My new wife and I (Pause for applause) are happy to welcome you here to share our wedding day with us. We want to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all family members and friends who helped us make this a very special day.

We are also thankful for the sincere wishes (Optional ~ and marital advice) from each and every one of you.

Let me also thank my new father-in-law (Brides father’s name), for proposing the toast and arranging the wedding festivities. In addition, I’d like to express our gratitude to my new mother and father-in-law, (Bride’s mother’s and father’s name) for raising such a wonderful daughter,(Optional ~ and instilling such good taste in her choice of husband) whom I am so proud to call my wife. (Bride’s mother and father’s names) I appreciate that you have entrusted your beautiful daughter to me and I will do my very best to take care of her and live up to your expectations.

We have been together for some years already, and she has always been a source of comfort and inspiration for me and I look forward in spending the rest of my life with this wonderful woman.

I remember that after meeting (Bride’s name) and asking her on our first date together, and she said yes, I felt like I could take on the world.

Oh and by the way, (Bride’s name) looks absolutely stunning today! [Turn to the bride] When I first saw you walking down the aisle, I was overwhelmed, you looked like a dream, so beautiful, so elegant… I almost could not believe my eyes!

It took me only (X) years since meeting (bride’s name) to understand that my life was incomplete without her…which is not long at all, is it?. The truth is, I can’t live without this beautiful lady next to me. (Pause for effect)

I want everybody, especially you, (Bride’s name), to know I believe I am the luckiest man today. I am so grateful to have found you, the woman who made me dream of waking up together and always hurrying home in the evening to see your face and chat with you until it was time to fall asleep. It was (Bride’s name) who made me understand how wonderful it may be to dream together, to plan our future adventures and bring up our children. (Optional ~ Yes I want babies)

I am also grateful to you for sharing the love for all these years before becoming my wife. It’s true, I have my faults…. yet you see past this and against all sensible judgment you agreed to marry me. I know this will be the beginning of many happy years we will spend together.
