Best Man Speech Sample #2

As I stand here before you and attempt this best man toast one thing confuses me… if I’m the best man… then why is (Bride’s name) getting married to (Groom’s name)? (Pause for effect – shrug shoulders)

I guess because today, even through my role is Best Man in the scheme of things I am just an average man and (Groom’s name) is in fact….the best man.

In my extensive research to find out how to deliver a great Best Man Toast, I learned that I am expected to sing the praises of the groom and tell all guests at the wedding what a wonderful guy (Groom’s name) is.

Unfortunately, I’m a bad singer and an even worse liar.

[Turn to the Groom and address him] (Groom’s name) … (Bride’s name) is a wonderful, intelligent, beautiful, kind and good hearted person who deserves a fantastic husband. Thank goodness you snapped her up before she found one. (Pause for effect)

All joking aside – I’m honored to be here today, I am honored to be (Groom’s name) Best Man… I think the world of both of you and wish you every happiness as you go forth together as husband and wife.
